Helping to Build Your Child Through Speech and Motor Play

Speech and Language Pathology

Each child receiving Speech and/or Language Services at Geneva Pediatric Therapy Center will be seen individually by one of our Master's Level, Nationally Certified Speech Language Pathologists.  For some children, this individual therapy approach will be the best one to suit his/her needs.

Some of our children will be invited to attend a group therapy session following their individual session as an additional therapy time utilized for practicing newly acquired skills with their peers under the guidance of another Speech Pathologist.  This immediate reinforcement in a naturalistic setting enhances the child's ability to carryover these skills and expedites the remediation process.  Children enrolled in this program are also able to develop and refine social skills with other children.

"I don't think there are any words that can truly describe how I feel about Laurie and Maria. I feel they gave my son his voice. He went there unable to hold a conversation and today doesn't stop talking. They are absolutely wonderful and caring with the children and their families. The day he graduated (which I really didn't know would happen), I cried. I was thrilled that he didn't need speech anymore, but didn't know what I would do not having them be a part of our life. I truly believe that my son is where he is today because of them." K. Dvorak
